ROTARACT

We take an active role in the world of Rotary to create lasting change. As RotarACTors, we do this through hands-on action in our communities or by coming together for social projects.

Since 2023, I have been a member of the Rotaract Club of Basel. In this short time, I have been involved in many great activities and events, both locally and internationally. The fact that other people share the same idea of helping people in need is what makes the Rotary family unique.

We may have different ideas about how to help, but that is what makes it great. Meet new people from all over the world. Sharing ideas and projects to build lasting relationships. Sharing expertise based on real needs and experiences.

SOME OF OUR ACTIONS

Planting trees and cleaning the grasslands at Landskronberg near Basel is one of the activities we do twice a year. Together with the Rotary Club Basel-Dreiländereck, we spend time with organisations such as Pro Natura to maintain the landscape.

The Blood Donation Event is one of our biggest events and takes place once a year. On this day, we help the Basel Blood Donation Centre to instruct donors and feed them after a successful donation.

One of our latest collaborations is with the Holbein retirement home. We have travelled with residents of this old people's home to take them to the zoo or, as in this picture, to bring presence to residents in need. This collaboration has created very touching interactions.
